The Campton Planning Board on March 4 reviewed a proposed Night Sky ordinance and recommended three substantive edits to the draft after holding a public hearing that drew no attendees.
Board members agreed to remove language pertaining to curfews, to remove a clause prohibiting luminaries from being visible in national forests, and to change the title of Section B from "Regulations" to "General Outdoor Lighting." The board opened and closed the public hearing at the meeting; a procedural motion by Vice Chair Jake Tuck to exit the hearing passed unanimously.

Chair Tim Scanlon presided over the hearing and called the vote to exit the hearing.
