St. Bernard committee tables three ordinances and holds executive session on property purchase

Auditor Brickwig asked council to place Ordinance 34 on the table. According to her report, the ordinance would transfer $135,000 from a general fund transfer into the capital improvement fund and includes additional appropriations and line-item adjustments related to heater and air-conditioner repairs and mold restoration at the public safety center; the exact amount of the additional appropriations was unclear in the transcript. Council member Culbertson moved to put Ordinance 34 on the table; Councilman Edwards seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote with all ayes.
Safety and Service Director Wendling asked that Ordinance 35 be placed on the July agenda; he said, if adopted, it would codify the Heritage Hill District plan as recommended by the Planning Commission. Culbertson moved to table Ordinance 35; Miss Hausfeld seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.
During the meeting the council also approved a motion to enter executive session to discuss purchase of property for public use. The motion was moved by Culbertson and seconded by Morton; the clerk conducted a roll-call vote in which each named member voted "Aye." The council reconvened and later placed Ordinance 33 on the table for the next council meeting following a motion by Culbertson and second by Morton, again approved by unanimous voice vote.
