At its June 11 meeting the Lapeer County Committee of the Whole recommended a set of routine actions to the Regular Full Board and recorded several approvals.
The Committee recommended approval of repair and monitoring equipment from Thumb Alarm System, Inc. at the West Building (1505 Suncrest Drive) at a cost not to exceed $1,634.98, with no additional county general fund cost. It also recommended acceptance of a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services multi-county health department grant of $21,530 at no additional county general fund cost and authorized the Health Department Director to electronically sign the agreement.
The Committee approved the 2026 Second Round Budget for the Materials Management Planning Program in the amount of $114,600 for submission to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. Under county policy it authorized mileage reimbursements to Senior Programs employees Anjanette Bigger ($96.43) and Cindy Golubinski ($100.05), to be paid from identified line items.
Commissioners also agreed to review the County Administrator's employment contract at the August 27, 2026 Regular Full Board meeting. The business concluded with a motion to adjourn at 12:32 p.m.
These actions were recorded by motion in the meeting minutes; where the motion text or vendor is provided in the minutes, the Committee recommended forwarding the items to the Regular Full Board for final approval or routine execution as noted in the minutes.
