Hay Springs school board approves October minutes, $57,226.51 in payables and moves superintendent evaluation to Dec. 8

The Hay Springs School District Board of Education approved routine minutes and financial items and scheduled the superintendents evaluation for its Dec. 8 meeting.
President J. Anderson called the Nov. 10 meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. and the board conducted roll call, which showed J. Anderson, M. Kearns, K. Hughbanks and T. Milne present. A motion to excuse Russell and Stock was made by M. Kearns and seconded by K. Hughbanks; the agenda for the Nov. 10 meeting was then moved by K. Hughbanks and seconded by T. Milne.
On action items the board approved the minutes of the Oct. 13, 2025 regular meeting (motion by K. Hughbanks; second by M. Kearns). The approval carried on a roll-call vote of 4-0. The board then approved October-ending financial account summaries and authorized November payables in the amount of $57,226.51 and November payroll liabilities totaling $258,544.05 (motion by M. Kearns; second by K. Hughbanks). That motion carried on a roll-call vote of 4-0.
The board also approved moving the Superintendents evaluation to the Dec. 8, 2025 regular board meeting (motion by K. Hughbanks; second by T. Milne), again passing on a 4-0 roll-call vote.
The board posted the Open Meetings law and noted that the meeting notice was published in the Sheridan County Journal Star and on the school website during the week of Nov. 3, 2025, consistent with meeting-notice policy.
The board adjourned at 7:33 p.m. Its next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 8, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., when the superintendents evaluation appears on the agenda.
