The Hay Springs School District Board of Education on Aug. 11, 2025, approved multiple routine fiscal items, including August payables of $150,889.41 and payroll liabilities of $234,566.96, and authorized a purchase of a Fume Dog air filter not to exceed $6,250.
J. Anderson, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. and noted the posting of the Open Meetings law. D. Russell, board member, moved to approve the meeting agenda; K. Stock, board member, seconded the motion, and the board approved it by a 6–0 roll-call vote.
M. Kearns, board member, moved to approve the July 14, 2025 regular meeting minutes; T. Milne, board member, seconded the motion. The motion passed on a 6–0 roll-call vote.
K. Stock moved to approve the July ending financial account summaries and balances and to approve August payables in the amount of $150,889.41 and August payroll liabilities in the amount of $234,566.96; D. Russell seconded. The roll-call vote passed 6–0.
D. Russell moved to approve an updated student-fee list; K. Hughbanks, board member, seconded. That motion passed 6–0.
D. Russell also moved to approve the purchase of a Fume Dog air filter not to exceed $6,250; M. Kearns seconded the motion, which passed on a 6–0 roll-call vote.
President J. Anderson adjourned the meeting at 7:26 p.m. The board recorded no public comments during the meeting.
