Meadowbrook tower power hookup adds roughly $39,000 to project, county says

An agency official described a recent revision from public safety: after pushback on an earlier estimate that raised the project by about $125,000, the only remaining increase identified is the cost to bring power in to the tower, which the official estimated at about $39,000. "That can come out of contingency, though," the official said, and staff characterized the reduction from the earlier $125,000 estimate as a positive development.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the distance for the power run (staff said roughly a half mile) and expressed interest in double-checking the figure, but the official reiterated the contingency-funded approach and indicated no additional board action or agenda items are required for this change.
The update was provided as informational; staff and the public-safety representative will continue to monitor costs and report back if further changes are needed.
