The Edmond Planning Commission on July 2 approved and forwarded a zoning map amendment (Z26‑000010, Hearn Corner PUD) for 230 East Lincoln Avenue to the City Council. Staff said the PUD would allow two‑family residential use (duplexes) with a maximum of eight residential units, public utilities are available, and the applicant will improve the public alley accessing Jackson.
Staff recommended approval based on the Edmond plan’s "university neighborhood" category, which supports a variety of housing types and a higher level of bike and pedestrian connections. There were no public commenters opposing this item; the commission voted 5–0 to move the PUD to the July 27 City Council meeting.
