Louisa County fairgrounds barn project secures flood permits and Ranger Power award

Mallory Vance told the Louisa County Board of Supervisors on Nov. 25 that the Louisa County Fair Grounds barn project has received required flood permits and has been selected for Ranger Power's Public Service Award.
"The Committee has received its flood permits," Vance said. "Ranger Power has selected the barn project for its Public Service Award, which will provide $20,000 after Thanksgiving and an additional $40,000 once the Committee receives its county permit." The update came during the meeting's public input period.
The funds are contingent on the Committee receiving the county permit; Vance said the first $20,000 will be provided after Thanksgiving and the remaining $40,000 will follow county permitting. The board did not take formal action on the barn project during the meeting; the report was entered into the record for the Committee to pursue permitting and award paperwork.
The Committee's next steps are to complete county permitting so it can receive the remainder of the award and proceed with the barn project work outlined to the board.
