Easton Board approves minutes, refunds and contracts; reappoints member to Aspetuck Health District

The Easton Board of Selectmen took several routine actions at its July 2 meeting.
The board unanimously approved the minutes of the June 18, 2026 meeting after a motion by Kristi Sogofsky and a second by Nick D'Addario. The Board then reviewed tax refund requests submitted by Tax Collector Krista Kot and, on motion of Kristi Sogofsky with a second from Nick D'Addario, approved the refunds. The refunded accounts and amounts listed in the minutes were: Honda Lease Trust $535.37; Honda Lease Trust $421.75; CCAP Auto Lease Ltd. $247.10; Michelle and Anthony Onofrio $149.63; and CCAP Auto Lease Ltd. $459.45.
The board reviewed bids for log and stump removal and voted to award the contract to Lenahan Land Clearing and Grinding, Inc. in the amount of $8,000; the motion was moved by Nick D'Addario and seconded by Kristi Sogofsky and passed unanimously. The Board also reviewed bids for a Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle and voted to award the bid to Gengras for $48,415; the motion was moved by Nick D'Addario and seconded by Kristi Sogofsky and passed unanimously.
On appointments, Nick D'Addario moved to reappoint Doreen Collins to the Aspetuck Health District for a term ending May 2027; the motion passed unanimously. Discussion of an appointment to the Ethics Board was postponed. At the meeting's close, Nick D'Addario moved to adjourn at 8:43 p.m.; Kristi Sogofsky seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
