Buckingham County School Board elects new officers, amends May meeting and approves personnel agenda

Board members then nominated and unanimously approved a vice chair (nomination for Joe Zanotti appears in the record), Wendy Oliver as clerk and Candice Douse as deputy clerk.
Separately, members discussed a scheduling conflict between a May school-board meeting and a Board of Supervisors meeting. After considering moving the school meeting earlier or changing the date, a motion was made and seconded to move the May 13 meeting to May 12; the motion carried unanimously. Board members noted the calendar can be revisited later in the school year if additional adjustments are needed.
A motion to approve the personnel agenda as amended was made, seconded and adopted without objection.
The board concluded this portion of the meeting by approving the consent agenda.
