Representatives from Xenia briefed the Boxholm City Council about recent water system repairs, the repair procedures, hydrant flushing and current water pressure during the July 11 meeting. Councilmembers asked questions about the work and follow-up steps.
Councilmember Victoria Helling said she will look into grant opportunities for water, sewer, parks and other town improvements and report back to council. No formal grant application or funding commitment was made at the meeting; Helling’s work was an assignment to return with options and recommendations.
The council did not set a timeline for grant applications during the session but asked staff and Xenia representatives to continue coordination and to provide additional information as needed.
