Dundy County signs Region 51 emergency-management interlocal; sheriff reports uptick in vehicle infractions

County Attorney Arlan Wine told the board that the Region 51 Interlocal Agreement for emergency management has been signed by Dundy County, the Benkelman City Board and the Haigler Village Board.
Wine said work should begin on a separate law-enforcement agreement between the county and the City of Benkelman; Karen Baker will contact the city clerk to move that work forward.
Chief Deputy Lucci presented the sheriff’s office report: an uptick in vehicle infractions in June, fewer investigative cases, no violations tied to Fourth of July festivities, and one inmate currently housed by the county.
No executive session was held and no formal action on the law-enforcement agreement was recorded at the meeting.
