Board hires two seasonal employees and permits courthouse Bible-reading event

Separately, the board approved a request to hold the Annual Iowa 99 County Bible Reading Marathon on the courthouse lawn the week of July 4, 2026. Supervisor Rasmussen moved and Supervisor Thompson seconded the permit approval; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also temporarily recessed to act as Trustees for Drainage and later reconvened as the Board of Supervisors for regular business; these were procedural motions recorded in the minutes.
