Planning Board adopts review policy for attorney/NHMA correspondence; schedules administrative actions

At its March 5 workshop, the Town of Sanbornton Planning Board voted to require that all draft correspondence to the Planning Board attorney and the New Hampshire Municipal Association (NHMA) be reviewed and approved at a board meeting before being sent.
Selectman Representative Ralph Carter moved the policy and Will Ellis seconded; the motion passed 4‑1‑0, with Chairman Andy Sanborn casting the lone vote against the measure. The minutes record the board’s decision to implement the review requirement going forward.
Board members also recorded upcoming absences: Jody Slack said he cannot attend the March 19 and April 2 meetings, and Patti Bartlett indicated she will be absent for March 19. Chairman Andy Sanborn said he will forward Capital Improvement Program (CIP) committee reports and findings to the Planning Board when they are complete so members can consider ordinance changes.
The board reached a consensus that the annual inspections of the Edmunds gravel pit should occur later in the season, preferably in September. The meeting was adjourned at 8:43 PM on a motion by Jody Slack, seconded by Ralph Carter; the minutes note the motion to adjourn.
