Northfield council hears financial update and reminders about required training

Finance Director and Clerk of Council Jennifer Potvin told the council she distributed the most recent financial statements covering through August 2024 to the mayor and council last week and said she is working on planning for the next fiscal year.
Law Director Brad Bryan said the State Auditor's Office is offering an online public records training seminar on Oct. 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. through 1:15 p.m., and that the Village needs someone to complete the course this year and serve as the 2024 Village Public Records designee. Bryan said information about the seminar was distributed to council.
Mayor Jenn Domzalski noted that some employees and officials still need to complete required FEMA training and said she will re-send her earlier email reminding those people.
Other department heads either had no report or were not present. Recreation Board announcements noted the next Movie in the Park (Oct. 12) and the next Recreation Board meeting (Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. at the 199 Ledge Road building).
