Interim Township Manager Rachwitz told the board the third-party administrator for the MSHDA CHILL grant will be in place and that he is drafting program guidelines; once guidelines are set the township will begin coordinating applicants with the third-party administrator. He said he will bring the 2025 Water Budget and 2025 Wastewater rates and fees to the board on Dec. 17, 2024, and is working with department heads on final 2024 year-end adjustments for that same meeting.
The board voted to approve checks #73166 through #73289 in the amount of $540,232.29. Police Chief Skabardis reported on officer activities (not detailed in the minutes). Fire Chief Smigiel reported November calls for service were 108 with 2024 year-to-date calls totaling 1,264, and publicized two community events: a Santa visit at the fire station on Dec. 13 (6 p.m.–7:30 p.m.) and participation on Dec. 10 in Meijer's "First Responder Holiday Shop," where firefighters, police officers and medical technicians assist underprivileged children with holiday shopping and families receive meal fixings; the Bridgeport Fire Fighter Association made a donation and Birch Run Meijer staff were recognized for organizing the event.
The minutes record the actions and upcoming presentation dates but do not include budget amounts, the MSHDA CHILL program guidelines, or further operational details beyond the events and call statistics.
