The township received a MSHDA grant award on Sept. 20 and is seeking a third-party administrator bid; township staff will solicit a third bid. Manager Rachwitz reminded residents that hydrant flushing of dead-end hydrants may occasion open-hydrant calls and announced that 2025 budgets will be placed on the Nov. agenda.
Community event details included township trick-or-treat hours of 6–8 p.m., a Historical Society trunk-or-treat event from 5–7 p.m., and a Chamber event at Birch Run Speedway from 1–4 p.m. He also said the Dixie & Curtis roundabout should be finished imminently and that Dixie Highway detours are in place with an anticipated completion by November.
