Temple Select Board approves hazard‑mitigation consultant, transfers and several payments

Ken Caisse reported that Henry Underwood offered services to assist with the hazard mitigation update; Caisse moved to retain Underwood and Clayton Lennartz seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The board also approved a $1,000 budget overrun for tax‑map updates after Caisse described the additional cost as justified.
On insurance and payment matters, the board approved paying a $1,000 deductible from the building maintenance account for a repair to the town common well after Primex covered the remainder. The board also agreed to pay Temple's portion of Wilton Ambulance fees — $1,182.33 — to cover title‑protection and appraisal work; the expense was charged to legal fees.
In personnel and fund actions, the board reappointed Mackenzie Arndt and Lori Sherburne to three‑year terms on the Village Green Committee. The board accepted a $6,900 donation from Jeta Grove in lieu of the town portion of the tax rate and agreed that Caisse would send a note of thanks. The board additionally approved a request to trustees of the trust fund to transfer $32,300 from the Highway fund into the General fund to cover bills for the new highway building.
On land‑use administration, the board approved a building permit for Matt Cabana to establish an accessory dwelling unit. The Select Board also approved the May 26, 2026 meeting minutes as amended.
