Smith advised applicants to use a generic organization name that will carry from year to year, save work frequently, avoid password‑protected financial attachments (they are public documents), and consolidate smaller multiple events into a single application when appropriate. She said presentations will likely be five minutes each but could vary depending on the number of applicants. Staff will provide schedules and offer technical assistance (Renee, web support) for uploading attachments and retrieving login credentials.
Smith also noted workshop material and recorded meetings will be available online; a committee member suggested making the workshop mandatory for new applicants and staff said the committee can consider adding that requirement to next year’s application rules.
