The Durand City Council on Jan. 14 voted to purchase a budgeted Public Works pickup truck and approved presented vouchers and payroll for January.
Council considered two quotes for a new Public Works pickup—GMC at $46,231.50 and a Chevy Silverado at $46,192.50—and approved buying the Chevy Silverado from Ewald Automotive Group. The motion to purchase was made by Council Member Matt Roesler and seconded by Council Member LeAnna Kavanaugh; the roll call vote was 6–0 in favor.
Later in the meeting, the council approved vouchers #31209–31255 totaling $525,494.65 and payroll for Jan. 2, 2026 ($49,236.54) and Jan. 16, 2026 ($32,567.68). The vouchers and payroll motion was made by Council Member Travis Hooker and seconded by Kavanaugh and carried on a 6–0 roll call vote.
The purchases and payments were presented during the business portion of the regular meeting. No council member voiced a recorded dissent on either item. The council adjourned at 7:24 p.m.
