Drummond board weighs converting former bank into combined town offices, seeks cost estimates

The clerk, treasurer and Sanitary District treasurer met to inspect the building and reported concerns about layout, lack of adequate office space, missing outlets and phone jacks, limited internet service and the cost of heating the building versus the current Business Center. Board members said both buildings would require substantial work to be usable as town offices.
The board asked staff to obtain price quotes to repair and upgrade the bank building and to compare the costs and feasibility of moving into that space versus upgrading the existing Business Center.
No formal motion was recorded to move forward with renovations or relocation; staff follow-up was directed.
