Public Works Director Mark Jerome presented the bids. Scott Construction was the low bidder for the Krafts Point chip-seal at $22,000, compared with a budgeted $32,000. The board approved that contract on a motion by Supervisor Jeff Hurula, seconded by Supervisor Scott McKinney; the motion carried.
For Tri Lakes Road, Northwoods Paving was the sole bidder at $214,317.82, higher than the board's $192,500 estimate. The board approved that contract on a motion by McKinney, seconded by Hurula; the motion carried.
The awards mean crews will proceed with the Krafts Point chip seal under the lower-than-budget bid and schedule paving work for Tri Lakes Road with the single bidder. The board did not record a roll-call tally in the minutes for either vote.
The board is scheduled to meet again on July 8, 2025.
