Supervisor Jeff Hurula moved that the board sign the letter of approval; the motion received no second and did not proceed. Board members discussed what the ATF specifically wanted the town to "approve" and whether the town could or should provide the requested document without further detail.
Hagstrom agreed to ask the ATF to contact Town Clerk Andy Tuttle and outline exactly what is needed from the town. The board left open the possibility of acting at a special meeting scheduled for April 29 if clarification from the ATF indicates the town must take formal action.
No formal vote on the license letter was recorded at the meeting. The board's decision to seek clarification leaves the matter pending until the ATF provides specifics or the board convenes again.
