Drummond board approves routine business; treasurer reports healthy balances, new plow truck in service

The Town of Drummond board on Jan. 13 approved routine business and heard departmental updates. The board approved the Dec. 9, 2025 meeting minutes and approved checks #46062–#46095, including debits and direct deposits.
Treasurer Pam Kalies reported account balances as of Dec. 31, 2025: Checking $623,361.08; Savings $371.78 and $7,643.01; and LGIP $189,288.92. Public Works Director Mark Jerome said the town's new plow truck arrived at the end of December and has been put into service; the crew has been busy with plowing and sanding. Jerome also reported the Fire Department responded to two calls in the past month.
Pavilion construction is expected to be completed prior to the Barstool Races in mid-February but the contractor is awaiting timber delivery. The County Health grant for a new swingset has been finalized and reimbursement is expected. The library reported receiving a $10,000 grant or donation and is exploring potential projects. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Civic Center.
