Durand council approves façade grant, liquor license, EMS write-offs and vouchers

Durand ' The Durand City Council on Oct. 29 approved a set of consent and business items including a façade grant application, a bartender license, EMS billing write-offs and the city's presented vouchers and payroll.
Council Member Matt Roesler moved to approve the consent agenda, which included the Oct. 8, 2025 regular meeting minutes, a bartender license application for Crystal L. Engler for the Corral Bar, and EMS write-offs for 2022 totaling $8,319.43. Council Member Nick Weisenbeck seconded; the motion carried (voice vote).
On the business agenda, Roesler moved to approve a façade grant application for Studio Jo at 110 W. Main Street; Council Member Travis Hooker seconded and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The minutes do not specify the grant amount.
Council Member Nick Weisenbeck moved, and Council Member Mark Menke seconded, to approve vouchers #31009'-31058 in the amount of $234,925.18 and payroll for Oct. 10, 2025 ($32,492.35) and Oct. 24, 2025 ($31,920.78). The motion carried by roll call with all in favor.
The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Mayor Patrick J. Milliren and adjourned at 4:24 p.m. The minutes do not record public comment on these items or additional details such as the façade grant amount or the sources funding approved vouchers.
