USFS indicates Trail #7 reroute acceptable after site visit with town officials

Town officials reported on July 8 that they walked a proposed reroute for Trail #7 with U.S. Forest Service representatives and received confirmation the proposed alignment was acceptable.
Chairman Roy Bloom and Public Works Director Mark Jerome met with Jenifer Bratsch and the new Acting District Ranger to inspect the proposed reroute. According to the minutes, U.S. Forest Service staff "felt the location was appropriate and did not feel the need to find an alternative." The minutes do not record further mitigation measures, permit steps, or a firm construction schedule for the trail work.
The board recorded the site walk as part of its Trail #7 update; no formal vote or action was recorded on the reroute at this meeting.
