Commission hears staff reports on Focus on Energy, finances, mutual aid and software conversion

At the Jan. 20 meeting of the Eagle River Light, Water and WWTP Commission, staff provided routine operational and financial updates. Jesse Roberts reviewed a Focus on Energy report and discussed customer incentive programs, conservation results and WPPI renewable-program updates. No action was taken on those program updates.
Recording Secretary John Laszczkowski summarized financial activity through December, stating customer aging remained in good shape. He told the commission that year-end auditors will conduct field work at City Hall the week of Feb. 9 and that the Public Service Commission (PSC) report filing is due May 1. He also said staff are scheduling a Caselle software conversion for March and April and noted that Jennifer Kennedy is now working solo in the office.
Mike Sanborn provided operational details including mutual-aid assistance the utility supplied to Marquette, Michigan, and recent after-hours electrical assistance at the hospital for a CT-scan project. No formal motions or policy changes resulted from the staff reports; the presentations were informational.
