Eagle River 's Finance Committee was convened by Mayor Deb Brown on Feb. 10, 2026. Treasurer Cory Hoffmann told the committee that bank account reconciliations for January were "off" and have not yet been completed.
Hoffmann also provided the committee with the monthly treasury update and a financial review: account balances for the City and the Eagle River Golf Course, budget reports through Dec. 31, 2025, updates as of Jan. 31, 2026, and a 2024'to'2025 budget comparison for both the city and the golf course. He said there is a remaining balance from the 2025 Capital Improvement loan tied to the ERLW truck, but the minutes do not specify an amount.
After the financial review, Committee member Dan Dumas moved, and Kim Schaffer seconded, a motion "to recommend payment of presented City and Golf Course payables to City Council." The motion carried on a roll-call vote: Ayes were Dan Dumas, Kim Schaffer and Mayor Deb Brown; Burkett abstained. The committee therefore recommended forwarding the listed payables to the full City Council for payment.
The committee then approved a motion by Dumas, seconded by Schaffer, to adjourn at 5:27 p.m.; the motion carried and the meeting ended. Clerk Becky Bolte recorded the attendance and minutes line for the session.
The record shows no late payments or penalties and does not list dollar amounts for the unreconciled January reconciliation or the leftover ERLW truck balance; those amounts were "not specified" in the minutes. The committee's recommendation to pay the presented invoices will be considered by the City Council.
