Trustee Cheryl Weinstein called a special Zoom meeting of the Sharon Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 6:00 p.m. on March 27, 2026, and the board unanimously approved two additions to the Children’s Room mural.
Trustee Sarah Graf moved to approve the design and installation of the two components; Trustee Carolyn Weeks seconded the motion. The board approved a 29.5" x 10" bas‑relief polyurethane banner, no more than 0.5" thick, shaped like a piece of fabric held by birds and bearing the words “Emma’s Woods.” That banner will be placed on the right wall where a bulletin board had been removed. The board also approved a 5" x 4" painted attribution on the mural’s tree that will read: “Gifted by the Emma Greenspan Foundation. Created with Love by Alison Kellom and Lucas Aceituno.”
Roll call recorded votes of yes from Trustees Sarah Graf, Sherrie King, Cheryl Rosenfeld, Carolyn Weeks, Cheryl Weinstein and Sarah Windman; the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned by consensus at 6:05 p.m.; minutes were submitted by Trustee Sarah Windman.
The agenda packet for the special session included the March 27, 2026 BOLT agenda and correspondence dated March 24, 2026 relating to the Children’s Room mural. The transcript and meeting record do not specify an installation timeline or final installation date.
