Elk Mound trustees approve resolutions, polling locations and humane society contract

At its Oct. 21 meeting the Village of Elk Mound Board of Trustees approved a set of routine resolutions and administrative items, including the village's intention to join the Statewide Public Safety Interoperable Communication System and a recognition resolution for emergency responders.
Trustees approved Resolution 24-2 (intention to join the statewide interoperable communications system) on a motion by Trustee Pat Hahn, seconded by Trustee Tim Benjamin. They also approved Resolution 24-3 to recognize the Elk Mound Police and Fire Departments for their response to a residential fire on Juniper Avenue in September; that motion was moved by Trustee Bob Bachman and seconded by Trustee Tim Benjamin.
The Board approved alternate polling locations (Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church; Elk Mound Community Center; Elk Mound High School), the placement of the Elk Mound Fire District's Fire Danger sign in the southwest corner of Village Park, and the 2025 Dunn County Humane Society contract as presented. A motion to open sealed bids for an abandoned motorhome at 215 University Street produced no bids and no action was taken. All motions carried; the open minutes do not include roll-call vote tallies for these items.
