Elk Mound reports sewer-plant levels improving after toxic discharge traced

Director of Public Works Mark Levra presented the Water/Sewer Report May 19 and said that levels at the sewer plant have improved after the utility located the source of a toxic discharge and provided education to that utility customer.
Levra also reported that hydrant flushing took place May 5–9. The Water/Sewer Report was placed on file in the Director of Public Works office, according to the minutes.
The minutes record that the Director of Public Works report and the Police Chief report were presented and placed on file; no additional board action on water or sewer operations was recorded at the meeting.
