The Village of Elk Mound Board of Trustees approved wage increases and benefit adjustments for village employees for the 2025 budget year at its Oct. 21 meeting.
On a motion by Trustee Pat Lien, seconded by Trustee Tim Benjamin, the Board approved specific hourly increases for several employees: Julie Conlin by $2.00 per hour; Police Chief Chad Weinberger by $5.00 per hour; Kyle Devries and David Vodenlich by $4.20 per hour; and 4% salary increases for Kevin Garnett, Mark Levra, Todd Steinhorst and Clerk-Treasurer Karin Wolf. The Board also approved benefit changes for the same salaried employees: a 4% increase in the health insurance stipend, an increase in life insurance and disability reimbursement from $500 to $750 each, and implementation of a Post Employment Health Plan that converts sick-leave hours at retirement into a fund for medical expenses.
The motion carried; the open minutes do not include individual roll-call tallies. The minutes note that the Employee Relations Committee met to discuss wage and benefit negotiations prior to the board action.
