On a unanimous vote, the board approved the final comprehensive plan ordinance. At the same meeting the board approved a motion directing staff to add a spray system to the sewer plant’s final clarifier. The record shows a quote from Sabel Mechanical for $7,514.15; the board directed staff to obtain a second bid from JH Ahern and to make the purchase decision based on the lower of the two bids. That motion carried unanimously.
Developer visitor Dave Grahl presented the phase 4 subdivision plan, which includes sidewalks along Reagan Drive up to Shady Lane; the transcript notes Shady Lane is owned by the Town and therefore not subject to the Village curb-and-gutter ordinance, though the lots will include the same covenant. The plan described typical lot and home characteristics, including 1,400-square-foot houses and two-car garages. The board indicated general support for the sidewalk layout as presented.
Parks and community updates: Ed Costello reported village parks are open for use and flagged a men’s-room door at the community park that needs adjustment. Trinity Lutheran requested permission to add a plaque to the welcome sign; the board said that is acceptable provided the congregation coordinates with the original sign vendor for uniformity. Costello also proposed an open house at the newly constructed sewer plant, likely in September; he will set a date and provide newsletter copy to the clerk.
