Elmwood board approves operator’s license, VFW-funded stair carpeting and payment of bills

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Village of Elmwood trustees approved an operator’s license for a Consumer’s Cooperative employee, authorized the VFW to replace auditorium stair carpet at its expense, and approved payment of submitted bills; the board also scheduled ordinance review work for Feb. 24.
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met Feb. 10 and approved several routine items, including an operator’s license and a VFW-funded auditorium carpet replacement.
Jason Severson moved to approve the minutes from the board’s Jan. 13 meeting; Pam Marson seconded and the motion carried on a roll-call vote. Later the board approved an operator’s license for Wade Prudlow of Consumer’s Cooperative after a motion by Pam Marson and a second from Mark Wolf. The board also agreed to let the VFW replace the auditorium stair carpet and treads to match the other staircase after Holly Malaszuk relayed a request from Tom Weber; Pat Geraets moved the approval and Pam Marson seconded. The VFW indicated it will cover the full cost of the carpeting.
Clerk Holly Malaszuk presented routine business including notification of a rate increase letter from GFL; trustees then approved full payment of the submitted bills on a motion from Pam Marson, seconded by Jason Severson. The meeting ended with a motion to adjourn by Jason Severson, seconded by Pat Geraets.
The board scheduled an ordinance-review meeting to begin revising Title 7, Chapter 2 on Monday the 24th at 6 p.m. and listed a closed-session personnel review for March 17.
