Clerk/Treasurer Holly Malaszuk told the board that the Personnel and Finance Committee had vetted Sunny Link and recommended contracting the firm to address the village’s current lack of IT security and difficulties securing reliable technicians. "Sunny Link will rewire the entire building and implement a backup system that includes both an on-site device and a secure cloud-based storage within their system," Malaszuk said.
Board Member Dawn Toth moved to approve Sunny Link to work in the auditorium; Mark Wolf seconded and the motion passed by roll-call vote.
The minutes record the board’s approval of the vendor and a general description of the work but do not provide a contract value, a timeline for completion, or details on data-governance or vendor liability. The Personnel and Finance Committee’s approval was cited but committee minutes or the procurement process were not attached to the board minutes.
