Elk Mound board appoints Dunn County EDC representative, names Board of Review alternates and approves $54,311.91 in vouchers

The Village of Elk Mound Board of Trustees on Sept. 16 approved routine business and made several personnel and committee appointments.
The board approved combined general fund and water/sewer utility vouchers (checks 32979–33016 and direct deposits V3783–V3805) totaling $54,311.91. Trustees also approved the minutes of the Aug. 19 meeting.
On a motion by Trustee Hahn with Trustee Abraham seconding, the board appointed Trustee Tim Benjamin as the village representative to the Dunn County Economic Development Corporation for the term Jan. 2024–Dec. 2026; the motion carried and Benjamin recorded an abstention. The minutes do not provide a detailed roll-call tally for the appointment beyond the recorded abstention.
Trustee Benjamin moved and Trustee Lien seconded a motion to appoint Trustees Cynthia Abraham and Joyce Price as alternate members for the Board of Review; the motion carried.
The board tabled review of Ordinance Section 6-45 (Abatement of Tree Disease Nuisances) and tabled consideration of Ordinance Sections 13-1-42 and 13-1-200(c) until the October meeting. Committee chairs were asked to consult with members and department heads to set dates for 2025 budget meetings.
