A public hearing on the Village of Galena’s Growth Strategy Report opened at about 6:02 p.m. on March 24 in the council chambers. Mayor Jeff Kinnell presided while representatives of The Neighborhood Strategies Organization were present to explain the report and answer questions.
The hearing provided residents and council an opportunity to comment on the strategy aimed at guiding future development and infrastructure priorities. Minutes state the hearing began at 6:02 p.m., court-reported testimony is attached to the minutes, and the hearing closed at 7:15 p.m.
The council did not record additional public participation after the hearing. Materials and the court reporter transcript are noted as part of the meeting packet and are available upon request from the village. The next regular council meeting is scheduled for April 28, 2025, when council could choose to take further action on items raised in the report.
