Nick Andrews, a member of the Elmwood Library Board, told the Village Board on Dec. 9 that the library will begin publishing a quarterly newsletter, expand winter programming and reading challenges, and collaborate with the Spring Valley Library Director to launch a speaker series slated for 2025.
Andrews said these efforts aim to increase community engagement with library services. Separately, Community Club representative Amy Bechel reported a successful Santa Day event on Dec. 7 that drew roughly 65 children and included a snowball-fight activity.
The board received the updates as informational items; no formal funding decisions or program approvals were taken at the meeting.
