The Ogdensburg Borough Mayor and Council voted Oct. 14 to approve a consent agenda that included Resolution 74-2020 to redeem a third-party tax sale certificate and other routine items, and later approved payment of municipal vouchers.
Mayor George P. Hutnick presided over the meeting held by Zoom. Councilman Nardini moved and Councilwoman O’Dell seconded approval of the consent agenda, which passed on a roll-call vote: Alvarez, Cruz, Nardini, Nasisi and O’Dell voting yes; Slater absent.
The consent agenda included Resolution 74-2020 authorizing issuance of a check for $12,005.47 to redeem tax sale certificate #2017-007 (Block 13 Lot 52, 26 Beardslee Hill Drive), naming Regina Flammer as tax collector. Also approved were Resolution 75-2020, imposing a 9:00 p.m. curfew Oct. 28–31, 2020 for individuals under age 18 unless accompanied by an adult (on the Chief of Police’s recommendation), and Resolution 76-2020, authorizing a $53 refund to Donna Hickey for a water overpayment.
Later in the meeting, Councilman Nardini moved and Councilwoman O’Dell seconded approval of the vouchers and departmental finance reports. The check listings presented in the minutes show Current Fund disbursements totaling $31,423.14; an Admin Trust payment of $12,005.47 to US Bank for PC7 Firstrust Bank (to redeem the tax certificate); a Dog Fund payment of $11.40; Grant Fund and other fund disbursements (Van Vleef Engineering $3,265.00; RCA Vernon $5,600.00) and Water Operating fund payments totaling $3,609.13. The roll-call for the vouchers vote matched the consent-agenda vote.
These approvals were routine items on the council’s agenda; no substantive amendments were recorded and several line-item payees were listed in the check register included with the minutes.
There was no executive session. The meeting adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
