Ogdensburg looks to rewrite pond‑use rules after ORA letter; swim team seeks lane‑line access

Councilwoman Slater urged limiting guest passes to immediate family. Borough Attorney Robert McBriar said the resulting arrangement would likely be documented via an agreement negotiated by the council and the ORA and brought back for final approval.
During public comment Michelle Nardini, identified as the Ogdensburg Swim Team manager, asked the council to clarify lane‑line access, to state how many nonresidents may participate on the team, and to permit family members to use the pond during swim meets. Mayor Hutnick asked her to submit her comments in writing so the council can review them before finalizing ordinance language.
No formal action or vote on the new pond ordinance was taken at the meeting; the minutes record discussion and direction to draft language and consult stakeholders before coming back for further council consideration.
