At 8:04 p.m. on May 12 the Evansville Common Council voted to convene in closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes section 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate potential terms for development in Tax Increment District #10.
Alderperson Ben Corridon made the motion, Alderperson Bill Lathrop seconded, and the motion passed by roll call 8-0. The motion stated competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session because open discussion could negatively affect the city’s bargaining position. The council indicated it would not reconvene in open session after the closed session.
