Frederic board approves GIS contract, 2024 water Consumer Confidence Report and conditional street-sweeper repair

The Frederic Village Board approved several administrative and operational items at its April 14 meeting.
The board approved a Frederic Wisconsin GIS services agreement to review, update and migrate the village27s GIS to a new system that the board was told will be more efficient. The motion to approve the GIS agreement was made by Brad Harlander and seconded by Duane Wisse; the motion carried.
B. Struck presented the 2024 Consumer Confidence Report for the water utility and stated there were "no violations." Patty Swenson moved to approve the report, Jackie Peterson seconded and the motion carried; the report will be published in the newspaper per standard procedure.
Bill presented a quote to repair the village27s street sweeper. The board approved proceeding with the repair subject to two conditions: first, the board will ask whether the technician believes the sweeper is worth repairing; second, the board asked for the cost comparison of hiring a contractor to sweep the streets twice per year. The Public Works Committee will review the details. The motion carried.
The board also approved the check register (checks #193795-193840) on a motion by Patty Swenson, seconded by Jackie Peterson, and then adjourned the meeting at 8:30 p.m. on a motion by Rob Lillehaug and second by Brad Harlander.
Why it matters: these approvals keep routine municipal operations and reporting current and set a conditional path for equipment maintenance that could affect Public Works budgets and service continuity.
