A resident told the Zoning and Planning Committee on July 22 that a washout is affecting parcel IDs 226-00127-0000 and 226-00596-XXXX and asked the city to direct stormwater to planned runoff, remove unstable dirt and trees, repair a culvert and address an overall drainage plan.
Committee members recorded the complaint and assigned follow-up. Committee member Ben Adank was asked to visit the site with Gil and to write to affected parties explaining the applicable law and status of any work. The minutes note the committee also flagged an ordinance from 1987 that "may not be up to current law/standards," and that this could affect enforcement or remedies.
The committee approved its June 17 minutes by voice vote earlier in the meeting (motion by Christine Williamson, seconded by Peter Schaffner); the meeting adjourned at 6:17 p.m. and members set a follow-up on the washout and ordinance matters for future meetings.
