Gilman trustees approve minutes, bills and an operator's license and set committee dates

The Village of Gilman Board of Trustees met Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, and unanimously approved several routine items, including prior meeting minutes, accounts payable and an operator's license.
Trustee Mark Person moved to approve minutes from multiple meetings, and Trustee Karen James seconded; the motion "carried; all were in favor," according to the minutes. Later, Trustee Cheryl Rosemeyer moved and Trustee Dee Bornheimer seconded approval of vouchers and pooled cash transactions; the board approved the bill list on a 7-0 roll call vote.
The board also approved an operator's license for Destiny Motte after Trustee Rosemeyer's motion and Trustee James's second; the minutes record the vote as unanimous. Trustee Cheryl Rosemeyer moved to approve the treasurer's reports and Trustee Ericka Motte seconded; that motion also passed with all members voting in favor.
Clerk/Treasurer Candice Grunseth read a list of upcoming committee meetings and future agenda items, and the board set dates for the Finance Committee (Nov. 10), the RLF Committee (Oct. 28) and a joint Finance & Personnel meeting (Oct. 29). The clerk also noted an intent to apply for sewer-related funding; no action was required at the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:07 PM on a motion by Trustee Ericka Motte and a second by Trustee Dee Bornheimer.
