At the Jan. 13 meeting Trustee Brad Harlander reported that the village skating rink is open and in good condition and promoted the Coon Lake Classic scheduled for Feb. 8.
Police Chief Larson told the board a young man is interested in purchasing the department's Chevy Impala; the board authorized Chief Larson to handle the sale. Chief Larson also asked whether the board supported sending an invoice to Northwest Passage after the village received a $931 bill from St Croix Health for medical care of a child. Chief Larson said an officer spent about 21 hours on the incident and the transport to Winnebago totaled 544 miles round trip. There was board consensus to send an invoice to Northwest Passage for those costs.
