Jackson Serum moved and Tammi Olson seconded approval of the consent agenda, which included monthly vouchers of $38,953.54 and the Sept. 29 open-session minutes. The minutes record that the board approved a donation of a cement sidewalk on the west side of the high school and $1,500 from the Gilmanton Community Club for the After-School Program. The board also authorized an online store for the Business Education Department school store and approved initiating a HOSA student group with Elaine Rud named as advisor.
The board separately reviewed and approved 11 Start College Now applications for students to take classes at CVTC and WTC. Tammi Olson moved to approve the applications; Lance Peterson seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 as recorded.
The actions provide funding and program authorizations that support extracurricular and college-credit opportunities for students. The board recorded motions and votes as unanimous (5-0) in the meeting minutes.
