Jefferson Valley EMS donates refurbished AED to Whitehall Town Hall

At the April 21 council meeting, Denise Bausch announced that Jefferson Valley EMS is donating a refurbished automated external defibrillator (AED) and cabinet to Whitehall Town Hall.
Bausch said the AED has new adult and child pads and batteries. She told council that Jefferson Valley EMS will replace pads and batteries if they are used or expire and that the agency plans to provide a training session for town employees and council members on AED use.
Council member Katy James discussed placing the unit in the Town Hall lobby so it is accessible to staff and visitors. The council accepted the donation and no further action was required at the meeting.
What happens next: Jefferson Valley EMS will coordinate delivery and training dates with town staff and the AED will be installed in the lobby as discussed.
