The Winifred Town Council accepted a donated tractor April 10 from Norm Asbjornson, who purchased the equipment from the estate of the late Larry Udelhoven. The council discussed use, insurance and expenses and approved a rental rate of $600 per day for use (10-hour day). The council also decided that if an outside user provides their own operator, they must use a different tractor rather than the town-donated machine.
The council approved appointing Councilor Rick Baker to the airport board following the passing of Larry Udelhoven. The minutes show Kristin Carlstrom moved to appoint Baker and Cody Isom seconded; the motion passed.
The council also recorded that Councilor Barry Ehlert tendered his resignation. The mayor will advertise to fill the vacant council seat.
Councilors said they will obtain cost estimates for siding at the old fire hall and present the figures at the next meeting. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
