Winifred sends sewer project to bid; pre-bid May 13, bids open May 20

Kurt Thomson, who updated the council, said the system is designed to avoid discharge to Dog Creek during winter irrigation interruptions. When Councilor Cody Isom asked whether winter discharge to Dog Creek was possible, Thomson replied, "no, they have sized it for a discharge to never happen." He also noted that the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) requires spray-irrigation systems to shut down in winds of 25 mph.
