Resolution 1,881 was presented by Parks Director Lina Hicks. The resolution authorizes the breakdown of $15,000 previously approved by council: $8,500 for barriers lining the parade route, $2,500 to cover overtime for six additional city staff, and $4,000 to the Chamber of Commerce to hire security and event staff. The council moved and approved the resolution by voice vote.
The consent agenda was approved by voice vote earlier in the meeting. Ordinance 2,839 (electric motorcycles) and Ordinance 2,841 (2026 budget amendment number 1) were read for the first time; no final votes on those ordinances were taken during the meeting.
